Illumination meets sound absorption in an exclusive ceiling fixture
Abstracta approached us at Agolux to develop an entirely new suspended ceiling fixture that would integrate with their existing sound-absorbing products. Initially, Abstracta had already developed a basic concept for the fixture, which we used as a foundation to transform their concept into a practical and aesthetically appealing solution.
A crucial part of the project was finding the right quality and feel for the glass globes to be used in the fixture. After numerous tests, we finally succeeded in identifying the perfect globes in white opal glass that provide an even light and go well with the sound absorbers that Abstracta developed themselves.
This project has resulted in a complete series of fixtures within the 'Holly family,' featuring varying numbers of glass globes, the option for DALI control, and a UL version tailored for the American market.
